Emergency Boxes

At times people will be in need of food but they come outside of  regular pantry hours or the pantries already have the maximum number of food orders for that day.  In these situations the requestors are given an emergency box of food to satisfy their immediate need. The recipients are also referred to the regular pantry program so that they will be able to receive a full order of food within the next few days. The emergency  box contains about 25 items.  In 2008, EFPN has distributed around 287 emergency boxes.
